Life in Room 12

This is just a catch-up of happenings in our classroom & school.

We had a special visitor to our class for 10 days – Rohi. Rohi has her own blog and is on an intrepid journey around New Zealand visiting a number of schools on the way. Here is a slide show of her time with us.

eLearning classrooms tend to use a lot of technology at different times. Here’s a slide show of some of the tech at use in Room 12.

Hello again. This is Pamela from Dr. Strange’s EDM310 class at the University of South Alabama again. I love the images and music in this post. Your students look engaged and excited. They appear to be comfortable in their class environment as well. I hope to visit your blog in the future and gain insight into blogging in the classroom that I can use when I get my own class. I posted about your blog on my own class blog under <a href="http://toddpamelaedm310.blogspot.com/2011/04/comments-for-teachers-2.html"<comments for teachers.

I am currently taking a class called EDM 310. It is a technology class for future teachers. My teacher, Dr. Strange has linked me to your blog to read for the next couple of weeks. I will be writing a blog about your post soon, please check out my page if you have a free moment http://busholiviaedm310.blogspot.com/.

I really enjoyed your videos on “Life in Room 12”. Thank you for sharing your classroom with me. It gave me a lot of neat ideas to use in my classroom one day. What grade is this and what age are your students? They all seem very involved and they look like they really enjoy being at school. I hope that my future students look and feel the same way in my classroom one day.

Thank you for sharing on your blog. I am looking forward to reading it more!

    Dear Jo Fothergill,

The idea of Rohi sounds so fun for the students! I am sure they feel like they are special when they take a picture with him and then see pictures of him halfway across the country! It must be a great learning experience for them and an enlightening way to introduce the students to other parts of the country. The amount of technology your classroom has access to is phenomenal! Your kids look so relaxed using the tools too. I am glad that you do not make it all about the technology though. I see in the last video that the students are reading, creating art, having special guests, and camping out!

Thanks for such a great post,
    Elizabeth Brooks
